Bo Diddley

Bo Diddley suffered a heart attack during a medical check-up in a Florida hospital on the 28th of August and is now in stable condition. The rock music pioneer, whose real name is Ellas Bates, suffered a stroke in May which rendered him unable to speak and has also lost his toes to diabetes.

Diddley?s rhythm guitar playing has influenced the musical styles of bands like U2 and The Rolling Stones.
