Showcase Your Music to A&R Reps

ShowCaseYourMusic.com makes an interesting promise: Get massive publicity and hopefully land a record deal in the process.

Basically, what you do here is create a profile page (they call it a showcase) just as you would with your MySpace page. And just like Myspace, the site itself looks like crap.

The basic idea is that A&R reps are going to come to the site, and search for artists to invest a couple of thousands in. How true that is, I don’t know.

    Yeah, sounds unlikely to me… the A&R guys i know go to live shows to check out bands. If they go anywhere online, it’s going to be MySpace, and of the 40 or so artists I’ve seen, only 1 has been signed primarily off of a referral through MySpace. That’s my two cents anyways…

    Hi I’m Element, a London solo Hip-Hop artist using show case your music. All I can say is that I use this site because of its originality, its direct link to A&Rs and its not main streem like MySpace.
