The Red Hot Chili Peppers have filed their fiery hot papers to Showtime Networks over their show entitled Californication.

“Californication is the signature CD, video and song of the band’s career, and for some TV show to come along and steal our identity is not right,” said Anthony Kiedis in a statement.

The TV show stars ex-X Files detective David Duchovny as a writer prone to writer?s block and the ever looming mid-life crisis.
