November 12, 2007 by Jo Minor · Leave a Comment
The remaining members of Led Zeppelin - guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant and bassist John Paul Jones, are discussing plans to reform and tour together as soon as in 2008. If this becomes a reality, it would be the first time the band has played live together in almost 30 years.
?
The news comes as the rock legends confirm news of their ?Mothership? compilation, which will contain 24 tracks specially chosen by the band.
?
The band has last toured in July 1980, just months before the tragic death of drummer John Bonham.
?
?Mothership? is due for release on the 13th of November.

Alison Krauss: Jack of All Trades
October 31, 2007 by Jo Minor · Leave a Comment
If you haven?t heard of Alison Krauss, well, you should.
?
A singer, musician and producer, Krauss has worked with names like Sting, James Taylor, Dolly Parton and Alan Jackson. Her latest project: Robert Plant. If that name sounds familiar, Plant is the vocalist of Led Zeppelin.
?
The singers have known each other for some time, despite their age: Krauss is 36, Plant is 59. The project, however, will be groundbreaking for the both of them ? Plant will be required to sing harmony ? something he doesn?t do a lot ? and Krauss will have to tackle songs that contain lyrical themes unfamiliar to her.
?
Still ,it sounds like a pretty awesome project!
