Amy Winehouse?s hospital visit in August - which her reps insist was based on exhaustion instead of the rumoured overdose - and has cancelled more of her appearances in music festivals in Norway, her native England and Denmark. She also squandered her shot for opening for The Rolling Stones - an honour in any musician?s book - and has also been rumoured to ironically check in at a rehab facility.

The 23-year old singer has a bright future, if only her lifestyle of alcohol and drugs doesn?t stop her before she reaches the top. Winehouse?s frequent bar- hopping has been the subject of British tabloids, and has recently admitted to her mother-in-law about her addiction to heroin and cocaine.

Activision?s Guitar Hero III

The successful guitar hero video game series will see its third instalment, aptly titled Guitar Hero III, sometime at the end of the year.

The game has become a cultural phenomenon. Bars have held “Guitar Hero” competitions and fans have uploaded videos of their best performances to the Internet. A search for “Guitar Hero” on YouTube returns 76,100 results.

The latest instalment will contain songs from Metallica, Guns ?n Roses and The Rolling Stones, among others, and the game is expected to sell 285,000 copies in its first four days, and nearly 2.3 million copies in total according to online prediction market the simExchange.
